This website is dedicated to my two children, Mark & Jennifer, who throughout the years have supported, cared, tried to understand, and loved me in my craziness. And to my faithful studio of singers who with determination continue to pursue this amazing technique to create a better life for themselves.

My deeptest gratitude embraces all of you!

Eunice M. DeMello, Voice Coach and Owner of The Studio of Eunice M. DeMello, has been named Cambridge Who's Who Professional of the Year in Vocal Coaching. While inclusion in the Cambridge Who's Who Registry is an honor, only two male and two female members in each discipline are named professionals of the year. The Cambridge Who's Who selection committee chooses these special honorees based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements and leadership abilities.

Eunice M. DeMello is not your average vocal coach. Based in Honolulu, Hawaii, she possesses over 45 years of professional experience as a singer, songwriter, dancer and choreographer. She has served with the University of Hawaii Theatre Group, directed The Players of St. Clement, taught at the Jazz Festival, produced and written plays and lectured on music at universities. She has also proven to be a valued member of her community, helping to establish Hawaii's first state museum representing local artists - The Hawaii State Art Museum. For her demonstrated commitment to Honolulu, July 12, 1998 was proclaimed Eunice DeMello Day by Former Governor Benjamin Cayetano.

Today, DeMello lends her expertise as a vocal coach, training a wide range of students from professionals to amateurs, singers, lawyers and doctors. Using her unique physically-oriented vocal techniques, she trains students at both The Studio of Eunice M. DeMello and through online chat forums. Her coaching style is renowned throughout the U.S. and she credits her success as a performer and instructor to the love and support of her parents, as well as the guidance of her professor, Hermanus Baer.

DeMello holds a master's degree in music from Northwestern University and a degree in music education from the University of Hawaii. She has served as the chairwoman for the Hawaii State Foundation on Culture and the Arts and as an onsite reporter for the National Endowment for the Arts, and maintains active affiliation with the National Association of Teachers of Singing, American Choral Directors Association, American Guild of Organists, The Voice Foundation, American Association of University Women, Metropolitan Opera Guild, Sigma Alpha Iota and the National Association of Teachers of Singing.
